Dream Castle (part I)

Every one dreams and everyone has a dream am sure. Some live on the dream and some make their dreams come true. But the real story begins, when u actually get there.
We may have dreamt about a million things and said a million things about our dreams, but how do we judge the real world on the other side of the dream? Very valid question indeed.
Once u “think” u have achieved your dream……. (wait a minute, u really did?)
And then U begin to think again…….
Is this really what I wanted? Is this really my dream? Well if it is… then why is it so ugly?, why is it just not like how I expected it to be?
This !!! is the reality check….. welcome to the real cruel world. There is no place for any dreams here. Infact you are not allowed to dream……..
It is an ugly truth yes…. But this is the reality… there is just a barren land beyond this dream. Every move pinches you and forces you to think….. “Is this exactly what you wanted?”
Its time you realise… you have just been living in your dream castle… step out of it....
Welcome to the real world……… the world to which u don wanna belong to………

Dream Castle (part II)

Many dreams I have seen, many I have lived on, many more I thought would be a reality……………..
But time and tide have changed the course of my life…………….
There was this beautiful dream I had, where everything was just as nice as I ever wanted it to be…..
I had everthing that I ever wanted, everything that keeps one happy and satisfied…..
I almost forgot it was a dream… and accepted it to be the reality……..
But life has its harsh ways to splash water over your face and eventually your dream.
I thought my dream was so strong and had such a great foundation that no one could ever moveit…
This is when I realized that my dream castle was afterall made of sand!!!!!
Dismayed I was……. But surely sand castles don’t last for too long……..
Just one strong tide…. And its all gone……………..
Stop building sand catles, I have been telling my self…….
I still fail miserably each and everyday……………

Where ever life takes me hereforth………

That is just Me!

Sometimes its worth it!

You get this life just once in a lifetime they say,
You get the opportunity to do all that you want just once in a lifetime.
“Go catch your dream and live your life” many may have said…..
But it’s not very often that people realize what exactly is their dream….
For some it may take a lifetime, while for the lucky few it may just take few years.
And once you do realize……. There is no more looking back!
You dream big and try to achieve it……
Many opportunities may have been lost….
But your passion drives you towards it………..
Often you may be disappointed and eventually give up…….
But my friend you fail to understand that when you have come so far…
Crossed so many milestones…..
It was just that one milestone which could have changed your life!!
So never give up and work towards your dream…..
Cause you may never know… good news may be just around the corner…..

And the day you do make it …. an enchanting voice will whisper from within
“You have done it!!!!”
That day you will pursue happiness…
If you never believed in tears of joy…
You will experience it!!!!
And if you are lucky enough….. you will have the icing on the cake as well….
You may have these set of people in your life…….
Who would have been there all the while…..
Almost inconspicuous… but would have been giving you the strength throughout…
They become your support system and the transition is almost involuntary and unobserved..
And just when you have got your dream…. You can see your reflection in them….
“Happiness when shared multiplies” I was always told….
When you do have your inner circle you will realize how true the above statement is….
It’s the sparkle in their eyes which adds to your joy and makes you believe in yourself….
That is the day when you will see only happy faces around you.. and for a change all genuine ones and pursue happiness…

Walks of life..........

In the journey of life……………
We meet some people, and sure we do……
Some just walk by, while a few choose to stay……
Now this is where it all begins…………
They come, teach you how to smile…..
How to laugh, how to live life….
How to feel good for every small little thing….
Coerce you to express yourself…..
Make promise and assure to stay……….
In no time, you have some of the greatest times of your life with them…..
And just when its time… and you begin to feel happy and secure…..
They bid a big goodbye to you!!!!
Then you begin to wonder if this journey brought you back
to the same point where you ever started…

Life is a viscous cycle…..
People come and go…..
But just remember, no one is here to stay….
So all you can do is……. Just live the moment…
Gather all the memories… so they last for a lifetime…
Coz you know that memories are the only things which will remain etched…
And never leave you even if you want them to!!!!

Yaad aayenge yeh pal!

One fine day, all of us will get busy with our lives, long working hours, no more classes, no more lectures to bunk, no time for friends and sms, wont have time for ourselves, at such a day, I will look out of my window and see the good old memories flash by with a smile and a tear in my eyes . I’ll then turn back to my work thinking I wish I could go back and re live these memories…………………
This is to all my friends who have helped me create such memories….. thank you for being such important part of my life! And sharing a few years of your lives with me……………….

Ever cared to notice the beautiful sky?

I don’t know how many of us really have the time in our busy lives to actually sit back and observe the sky and the nature…. I have always admired the nature be it in any form….. the closest to me is the twilight ……. I remain awe struck at the beauty of nature…. No paint in the palette can ever get those shades right!

One evening when I was talking a walk on my terrace, I clicked these pictures. …. I fall short of words to describe the beauty of this scene. It is amazing to see how the nature can manage to get such an excellent blend of colours and make the sky look so beautiful. The orange and blue colors blend in with ease and explain how such contrasting colors can get along effortlessly………. It is a lesson to learn
As an artist I have always wanted to be able to reconstruct these images. And I remain unsuccessful till date in this task. These images are very close to my heart and the day I am able to recreate them it would certainly be the biggest achievement………………….

Relation called friendship

On the shore of life
True friends are like waves
They do come with an intention
Of never to go….
But sad its not always so…..
Love is what they seem to show,
They touch you in such a special way…
That in your heart they always stay.
They always help and thoughts they share…..
Even when they are not around…..
A feeling of closeness is always there….

Blue...........

No no no I am not talking about the latest Hindi movie! Don worry.. ah what a disastrous movie, such an insult to the colour blue…………
Well those of you who know me, will surely have a smile on their face because they know what I am going to be talking about……. Yes it’s the color blue………..
Everyone around me, including me fail to understand the reason why I love this colour so much! It is almost involuntary that I started liking this color…… I kinda have this blue screen in my cones, which involuntarily make me look at that color. You put me in a store and I will pick up only the blues, no wonder how flashy the other colors are….. (florescent colors included)
Blue to me is soothing, it is the color of the sky and the biggest stress buster to me….. I feel so much more lighter and close to nature because of this color!
Some achievements on this front:
I know most of you will not believe this, but I was actually certified as “The Blue Freak” of my class in second puc………….. believe me, it was not easy to get this achievement, after all I was competing with so many more people in my class, as blue is the most commonly liked color by majority of people.

How insignificant

I am a leader, I am an achiever, I am going to be famous one day, I am a celebrity…….. the list may go on………. Though the word “I” is very small, people seem to give maximum importance to the same word “I”…
I mean we can never stop thinking about ourselves… somehow the whole world seems to revolve around us… the only thing we care about throughout our life is the “I factor”.
Each one of us have an attitude about ourselves and about life and this attitude is what describes the person we are. There are many people in this world who think they have achieved a lot, there are people who think they set benchmarks for the rest of the world and there are people who think they are the most powerful in this world……
Once upon a time I was one among them……………….
But one day my friend came up to me and told me about this simple fact, which shook my base….. this fact got me rooted. So here it goes….. we know how big our solar system is. Our solar system belongs to milky way galaxy and there are millions of such galaxies in the universe. Sun is just one star around which nine planets (now discovered 3 more) i.e twelve planets revolve. And sun is just one star belonging to the milky way galaxy and there are millions and millions of such stars in this universe…… this should give an idea about how large and massive this universe is and how insignificant sun is as a star in the universe, then how insignificant would be the earth as a planet and how insignificant would we be as humans on this planet!! We are merely nothing. We are much more insignificant than ants and mites….
Keeping this in mind….. I begin to wonder, how people build their own universe around them and how they begin to think so much about themselves……
Afterall we are so damn insignificant!!!!!
P.S: Thank u so much dear friend. Had you not told me this fact my life would have been terribly different!

The Twilight Effect!

When I was little, I used to read a lot of fairy tales and fictitious stories. From then I have been of the idea that angels are good people with wings and they are always around to take care of you. And demons are bad people or creatures who like killing people and so on. I almost developed phobia to negative characters like demons and ‘Vampires’. Until one day, when my friend came up to me and told me about this novel called ‘Twilight’ and she gave me the basic story line……
Hmmm this was interesting, a love story of a normal girl and a VAMPIRE!!! It caught my immediate attention……. But I am just not the kind who would patiently wait to read the whole novel! So I took the easy way out, I watched the movie.
I agree that I may have missed out on many important parts, which were in the book but not in the movie, but since I dint know the details of the book, I enjoyed the movie………
It is needless to explain the storyline. What is interesting is the fact that a normal girl falls in love with a Vampire. Now this is a very interesting point. I mean aren’t vampires supposed to live on human blood? Well well but this does not seem to be the scene in the movie. Infact the vampire is so handsome and harmless that every girl would want him as their boyfriend.
What I love the most is that the vampires eyes change colour according to his moods. The way his eyes shine when he looks into her eyes with love! Oh it is just adorable! He is the perfect guy, he is protective about her, he takes care of her, he loves her and the most important fact is that though he is the most tempted by her scent of blood, he is the one who is trying his best to save her from the others. I think this is the best way to portray love. I mean it would be the last thing a vampire would do, to resist himself from blood, which tempts him the most!
Edward Cullen has become the talk of the town and I am not at all surprised why!
For all the girls he is their dream….. and I am one of them!
Sometimes I really wonder how stereotypes can be broken and have such a great impact on the audiences! So here goes cheers to Stephanie Meyer, who has done a commendable job of it.
